Full casting has been revealed for the Pasadena Playhouse production of The Visit, which will play the Southern California theatre September 9-October 4. An official opening night is set for September 13.

Tony Award winner Darko Tresnjak will direct Maurice Valency's adaptation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s chilling classic, which follows the richest woman in the world, who has returned to her struggling hometown, ready and willing to rescue it from ruin—if they'll put her ex lover to death.

The production will star Melinda Page Hamilton (Mad Men, Desperate Housewives) as Claire Zachanassian and Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) as Anton Schill. They will be joined by Christian Barillas (Modern Family) as Teacher, Kenajuan Bentley (Shrinking) as Bobby, Jennifer Chang as Shopkeeper/Frau Schill, Ricardo Chavira (Desperate Housewives) as Policeman, Danny Cron as Max, Matthew Patrick Davis (Side Show) as Pastor, Matthew Henerson as Doctor, Mark Jacobson as Station Master, Adrian LaTourelle as Painter, Drama Desk Award winner John Lavelle as Burgomaster, Jake Levy (Anastasia) as Koby/Hermine/Karl/Reporter, Ian Joseph Paget (Leap of Faith) as Pedro/Truck Driver/Reporter, Will Pellegrini (Glee) as Mike, Hilary Ward as Innkeeper/Frau Burgomaster, and Lauren Worsham (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) as Lobby/Adolphine/Ottilie/Reporter.

The production will include scenic design by Alexander Dodge (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), associate scenic design by Clayton Dombac, costumes by Charlotte Devaux Shields), associate costumes by Leslie Malitz (Jekyll & Hyde), lighting design by Matthew Richards (Ann), associate lighting design by Edward Hanson (Cyrano), sound design by Jonathan Burke, projection design by Drama Desk Award winner Aaron Rhyne, with Rocio Mendez (Proof) serving as the fight coordinator and Miranda Johnson-Haddad serving as dramaturg. The production stage manager is David S. Franklin, and the assistant stage managers are Alyssa Escalante and Sue Karutz. Casting for the role of Claire Zachanassian is by Ryan Bernard Tymensky.
